Hydra demonstrations have been carried out very succesfully in a number of occasions. In March 2008, a Hydra demonstration at the CeBIT fair received a citation for being among the most innovative demonstrations of the year. And at the ICT Mobile Summit in Stockholm (June 10 - 12, 2008), the Hydra middleware was awarded the runner-up Best Demonstrator Award.

The HydraGizer Energy Efficiency Demonstrator at CeBIT 2010 Hannover
The HydraGizer Energy Efficiency Demonstrator was shown at the Fraunhofer FIT demonstration stand at CeBIT 2010 Hannover. The application runs on Android or iPhone smartphones where a summary UI show the current energy consumption of standard household devices like lamps, coffee machines or DVD players. The application recognizes the device using image recognition software and finds the corresponding energy metering device. |

This breathtaking online demo shows a Smart Home application that has been built using the Hydra middleware and tools. It shows you a room layout, where available devices are displayed. By clicking on them you can control and interact with the physical devices that you see in the above camera. You can switch between different tabs to get temperature, air pressure, wind speed. You can also control a fan to create wind that will cause the wind meter to change. Try this extremely convincing demonstration here. |

The Hydra team has prepared a mock-up simulating of what could be the first "basic-functionality" demonstration application for Hydra middelware in Healthcare. Once installed on your smart phone, the application reads the status of the devices and presents you with different options for interaction.
